It is a myth that only credentialed teachers can teach. Studies have shown that parents are just as capable as credential teachers. Homeschooled students score higher on national test scores than non homeschooled students.
Homeschool is legal in all 50 states. If you enroll in a public charter school, your child will have a public school record even if you are homeschooling or hybrid homeschooling. If you do not want your child enrolled in a public or private homeschool program, you can file independently with your state. Each state has different filing procedures. Make sure to look up the requirements for your state and file any necessary paperwork. Don't let the details deter your from providing your child with the best education option possible.
Time is fleeting and priceless. Give your child the give of time. Students that learn one to one or independently can learn much more quickly and can use their extra time focusing on what they really want to learn, practice, and play. Personalized learning is very popular amongst athletes and actors for this reason. Homeschool education can happen much more quickly students that attend brick and mortar school alternatives. Between 1 and 4 hours per day, depending on the age of the child, is all they need for formal academics. Imagine the priceless gift of time that you can bestow on your child.
